Mixed Metal Oxide Coated Titanium Anodes
OAT manufactures a various array of mixed metal oxide coated titanium anodes for multiple applications.

CHLOROXIDE™
ChlorOxide™ coatings comprise our series of electrochemical coatings specifically formulated to efficiently produce chlorine, chlorate and sodium hypochlorite. Ruthenium, the major precious metal oxide in the ChlorOxide series, is formulated with other precious metal, valve metal and base metal oxides to provide the most cost-effective and highly efficient electrochemical catalyst available.
Coatings are very electrochemically selective and efficient in the anodic generation of chlorine. Applications include: seawater and brine electrochlorination, electrolytic production of sodium chlorate and sodium chlorite, swimming pool electrochlorinators, and membrane, mercury and diaphragm chlor alkali-cells.

Optimum Anode Technologies provides high quality cost-effective dimensionally stable anodes for cathodic protection applications. We supply mixed metal oxide and platinum catalytic coatings that are sintered to a titanium substrate, providing an anode that is both lightweight and durable.
Our proprietary catalysts are suitable for use in a wide range of cathodic protection applications, including soil, carbonaceous landfill, fresh water, brackish water and sea water. Our high-value metal substrates assure high corrosion resistance.


Iroxide™ coatings
Our Iridium Oxide series of anode formulations enable the energy-efficient production of oxygen. Iridium, the primary precious metal, is converted to oxide. Depending on the environment and the exact requirements, the iridium can be combined with other precious metal and/or base metal oxides to produce the optimum electrochemical catalyst for your specific process conditions and desired operating performance and product results.
Applications include: electrolytic recovery, cathodic protection, electrophoresis, electrosynthesis of organic and inorganic compounds, electrodionization, electrogalvanizing, and more.
IrOxide™ TCA Anodes for
Tri-Chrome Plating
IrOxide TCA-coated titanium anodes are the most cost-effective solution for tri-chrome plating. An environmentally and technically sound anode solution, IrOxide TCA anodes are a simple, easy-to-use and cost-effective alternative versus lead anode systems, which require a semi-permeable membrane to prevent the buildup of hexavalent chrome as well as continual maintenance and additional, costly waste treatment. IrOxide TCA anodes are fabricated from commercially pure Titanium to the size requirements of your application.


PUREPLAT™ PLATINUM COATING
PurePlat™ platinum coating is 99.95% pure platinum coating applied typically by electrodeposition to Titanium, Niobium, Tantalum and other exotic substrates. The electrodeposited or clad-coated substrate is more cost-effective and mechanically superior to pure platinum structures. We ensure optimum performance of the PurePlat™ coating by varying the surface morphology to create an application- and process-specific electrochemical characteristic.
Applications include: precious metal plating, electrolytic recovery, cathodic protection, electrophoresis, electrochlorination, electrosynthesis of organic and inorganic compounds, electrodialysis, electrodionization, electrochemical oxidation and/or reduction, and more.

Platinum Coated & Mixed Metal Oxide Coated Titanium Anodes For Cathodic Protection
The use of platinum or mixed metal oxide coated Titanium anodes in precious metal plating applications offer exceptional electrical field characteristics. They eliminate plating bath contamination as a result of anode disintegration. The increased plating speeds and homogeneous distribution of the electrodeposited layer makes these anodes very inexpensive when compared.
These attributes make these anodes very inexpensive when compared with conventional type anodes. The use of these anodes is applicable to precious metal plating (Gold, Rhodium, Platinum and Palladium) as well as base metal plating (Copper, Nickel, Hard Chrome and Decorative Chrome).
Platinum-Clad-Niobium & Platinum Plated Titanium Auxiliary Anodes
The use of platinum-clad niobium or plated-titanium auxiliary anodes in hard chrome plating applications improve the anode dimensional, chemical and electrochemical stability over various operating conditions, which improves the overall chrome deposit quality and consistency.
These anodes are cost effective and cause no bath contamination by the anodes.
